Meet Valerie

Valerie Kelly grew up in the Bordeaux/Médoc region of southwest France, part of a proud third‑generation winemaking family. Her grandfather worked as a vigneron in some of Pauillac’s most respected vineyards — including Château Croizet‑Bages, Château Plantey, and La Rose Pauillac — and also owned his own vineyard in the village.

Valerie began harvesting grapes at just six years old, joining her family in the vineyards every season until she moved to the United States in 2005. Before founding Time for Wine, she ran her family’s bed and breakfast on the vineyard, creating immersive experiences for guests to learn the winemaking craft firsthand.

That same Bordeaux‑trained palate is what she brings to Valerie’s Vault today. She personally tastes and selects every wine, drawing on a lifetime in Pauillac and Médoc to hand‑pick the perfect bottle for each month’s box.
